Twenty years ago a student sold a million pixels. We added the dimension of time. Now we add the world itself — 100 monoliths rising in 100 cities, each with 86,400 seconds to claim.
It started with
a wall of pixels.
A 21-year-old student, Alex Tew, needed money for university. So he built one web page — a 1,000 × 1,000 grid — and sold its 1,000,000 pixels for $1 each, in 10 × 10 blocks. Advertisers bought a block, dropped in a tiny logo, and linked it out. Within months the page was full.
Dimension: space — 2D- 11,000,000 pixels — Each sold for exactly one dollar.

Then we sold a day —

Twenty years later, one question: what if the canvas isn't space, but time? milliondollar.day takes a single day and splits it into its 86,400 seconds. Each second can be claimed — your name, your message, your brand — and the whole day adds up to $1,000,000. The grid of pixels became a timeline of seconds.

Billion Dollar Day adds the final dimension — physical space. 100 cities, each with a real monolith: a 9:16 LED slab inspired by 2001: A Space Odyssey. Every monolith runs its own day of 86,400 seconds. 100 cities, averaging about $10M each, sum to one billion dollars — and most of it goes to an open science fund.
